Mobile Outpatient Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Serving Anchorage and Eagle River
Meet Erin McCurdy, PT
Hi, I’m Erin - Physical Therapist here at Far North Health Services.
Through my educational background and years of experience, I have witnessed firsthand the gaps in care that exist in our healthcare system. Here in Alaska, a patient’s transition from the hospital to their home poses various barriers to receiving recommended treatment. From icy conditions to transportation - it’s not always easy to access the care needed.
I graduated with my doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016. Since then, my journey has taken me to Scotland, where I worked at an acute hospital and rehabilitation center within the NHS right out of college and on to Anchorage in 2018 where I have had the privilege of working in various healthcare settings and eventually opening my own practice.
Driven by a deep desire to improve access to quality care and enhance patient outcomes, I founded Far North Health Services to ensure that patients in need of physical and occupational therapy can receive the care they require in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. I collaborate closely with patients, caregivers, and community resources to design tailored rehabilitation plans that account for the unique environmental factors they may face. By doing so, I empower patients to regain their independence, mobility, and overall quality of life.
Meet Ashley Block, OT
I grew up in northern Wisconsin before moving to North Carolina to pursue my Master's degree in occupational therapy. After graduating, I moved up to Anchorage, where I spent the majority of my time working in an inpatient rehabilitation unit and the hospital setting, helping patients return back home as independently as possible.
Since starting my career, I've spent a lot of time working with individuals who have experienced some type of neurological condition (stroke, brain injury, multiple sclerosis, etc.), and have completed many hours of continuing education to become a Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist (CSRS) and Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) in order to better help these individuals as they navigate their rehabilitation journey.
As a practitioner, one of my biggest goals is to help others return to their everyday tasks for improved quality of life, safely and independently. In my off time you can find me hiking up a mountain, playing volleyball, or camping with my dog, Obi.
Hi, I’m Ashley - Occupational Therapist here at Far North Health Services.
meet Seth Arnold, PTA
Hi, I’m Seth - Physical Therapy Assistant here at Far North Health Services.
With over seventeen years experience between acute and outpatient care settings, Seth is committed to providing exemplary and compassionate therapy services across the continuum of care. Then upon the inauguration of the physical therapist assistant program at the University of Alaska Anchorage, Seth graduated as one of its first charter class of students. He now looks forward to providing you with caring and effective physical therapy care with Far North.

Before when I got out of the hospital, I was lost. They told me about the prosthetic and I did not think I could do it even before the surgery, I had trouble with my knees. When I got home I felt hopeless. It was hard to move around with the wheelchair. Can’t go out of the house because of steps. Then - my PT Erin came over, at first everything was hard. But with her help and passion in three weeks I got out of the house now I am two months home getting sessions three times a week getting stronger. Few days ago I put on a sneaker getting ready for a prosthetic. Now I start believing I can walk again I can live again with the help of my PT, Erin and OT Kari. Thank you girls.
